Fab story at the bunkbarn. Thanks to William and Chris for the rescuing lifts. Lovely 5 1/2 hour walk Glaisdale to Danby Beacon, help from the Esk Valley train service to Glaisdale station.
An absolute gem. Practically perfect in every way. Chris and Emma have considered every aspect of a guest's stay. Loved finding out about the sustainable practices and organic farming here, and learning about the previous owners, Giles and Mary.

50 years ago 1974 and a very cold Bank House with Giles & Mary. Congratulations Chris & Emma! 5 star in the bunkbarn!!

Wonderful stay as we finish Coast to Coast tomorrow. Today was a windy & cold 18 miles from Great Broughton - thank you for your fantastic welcome and the comfort of the bunkbarn is exceptional!

Our 5th weeklong visit and we'll be back! Highly recommend beach at Cattersty Sands (near Skinningrove) - quiet, sandy and good waves for body boards.
Thanks again. Just a short stay for Paul & Rose but very enjoyable. Postgate brilliant as usual. Whitby great. Once again a thoroughly enjoyable visit - never get tired of the place and looking forward to coming back.

A fabulous set-up in a stunning location. The 5 of us (old codgers) had a lovely time. Hiking -beautiful moors and lush wooded valleys. Cycling - some challenging climbs(strongly recommend ebike) and not far from Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. Our hosts were super and will definitely come back.

We stayed with Chris and Emma after completing our MTB C2C, it’s a beautiful location and the hosts are amazing. 100% recommend it for a stay.

Couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting and some beautiful weather to enjoy ourselves in. Fabulous fire pit, games, walks and swims nearby. It's a weekend we'll all remember very fondly. Some of us met a woman called Denise in Whitby. (cryptic! Emma)

Another fantastic stay at Bank House. Lovely weather, great company, lots learnt about the area (guided walk in Grosmont). Lots done. Looking forward to another visit in August. You can't keep us away! Thanks so much.

Amazing bunkhouse gave us and the dogs a really lovely base for hiking and exploring the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire moors and coast. Great facilities and beautiful location.

Everything was lovely. We thought the bunkbarn looked great on the website, and it surpassed our expectations. Everything was in working order, good kitchen, dining and living space, very well equipped and clean. The outside space is delightful too with a great barbeque and large patio area and garden and the location in Glaisdale is fabulous. Great for coast and countryside, walking, running, swimming (in the sea) or just relaxing and enjoying the views. Also good for being a tourist. We enjoyed having ice cream and watching steam trains in Goathland. I did all of that during the weekend!! You were very helpful and considerate as we rebooked a number of times due to Covid.

Walking the WHITBY WAY, a British #Pilgrimage
Thank you so much for letting me stay in the bunkbarn as an upgrade from the Simple Camping Barn - I was super cosy and it was great to be able to dry out my wet things.
I read with interest all the info about the farm - I really admire what you're doing here.
I'm walking to Whitby today, the final leg (6th day) on the 'Whitby Way' from York to Whitby - details of this are on the British Pilgrimage website, and your accommodation is very convenient for this route.

We have loved our time here. The surroundings are beautiful and the bunkbarn is even better than we could have imagined. We had a lovely time walking along the coast near Whitby and around the dales. The bunkbarn was perfectly equipped to allow us to relax after our walks and enjoy our evenings as a family of six. Many thanks.

We had a fabulous time for a 60th birthday. The owners couldn't do enough for us. We booked a local singer/songwriter, David Neil Crabtree, who was brilliant! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to make it an annual get together. Thank you.

We came for D’s 50th birthday. We’ve had a wonderful time dancing around the fire, going for walks, playing in the tree house. Beds were really comfortable, place was lovely and clean, everything was fabulous. We will definitely come back. Best Birthday ever!
